    Default New Sig 1911 Extreme

I like my RIA Tactical 1911. Shoots great, feeds great, ejects fine. But the call of owning a higher tier 1911 was too great and I finally decided on which model it was going to be and when, NOW! It came down to a toss-up between the Sig Scorpion and the Extreme. Shot fellow member and friend Crlovel's Scorpion and narrowed it down to the Sig. Loved it. I probably would have gone with the Scorpion if he didn't have it already, but am just as in love with the look of the Extreme, so that's what I went with. I'm pretty stoked and will post range reports after arrival.

I have a SIG 1911 Tacops and when I was in the market for another 45 I looked at the Scorpion, the only thing I wasn't a fan of was the straight trigger. I went with the P220 Elite Dark instead. I love both, its hard to pick a favorite. SIG sure does make some pretty 1911s.

Good choice man. I've been wanting to shoot one for a while just never know anyone who has it in stock or who owns one.

It looks a little different in the frame then most 1911s. But it is a nice looking gun. Sig makes a good gun.

I shoot at Ridge and Valley gun club which borders Quakertown/Coopersburg if you're ever interested in shooting it I'd be happy to oblige. Thanx for the encouragements, I think I made a solid decision on a great gun. As for the straight trigger, I was a little taken back by it at first on the Scorpion, but I figure if it doesn't grow on me it isn't that big of a changeout.

What gave it away? The "1911" in the title or the "1911" on the slide? Not sure what this post is adding to the discussion, or what the "??" is about either. Oh, I see...it's that guy again.

Picked it up today from Donley's Gun Shop in Quakertown. What can I say? Wow! This is one beautiful 1911. Right out of the box, the slide/frame fit is great. Working the action there is zero hangups or slightest bit of friction and tolerances feel tight. Triggers is like glass breaking. No creep at all. All this and it is cool looking as hell. Can't wait to take it to the range.
