Wow it was that bad? I was gonna drive the half hour tommorow to see if anyone was looking to part with an SKS or other milsurp items. Got my Garand at their Scranton show.
I'm faster than Doc Holliday (with Novocaine of course)

Re: Promised Land Gun Show - Jaeger Arms Promotions
If you want to handle and tire-kick and look at 1000's of overpriced guns you can't afford at inflated prices, with isles so packed you can't walk down them, but no one really buys much, like the typical large gun shows are- then the Jaeger shows are not for you.
If you want the best price on vintage and antique guns, at a smaller show, where you can walk through and see everything there in about an hour or less, the Jaeger shows are the place to go.
I always try to hit the Jaeger shows because that's where I find more guns at the best prices.

Re: Promised Land Gun Show - Jaeger Arms Promotions
I am not knocking Jaeger shows, just this one they had 1 gun per table in places and a hell of alot of empty tables. Hamlin show atleast had stuff I dropped 1500 in just ammo. This one a dealer wanted 110. for a case of skeet load 12ga and 40. a brick for Remmy bulk 22. another wanted 350. for High Points you can buy at any dealer for 150. The coffee was alright though.

Re: Promised Land Gun Show - Jaeger Arms Promotions
Bored to tears so went to see foliage at promised land state park and tried hard as I might to give some benefit of the doubt about Jaeger shows and wasted $6,I have two dealer friends who work it and said this is their last show with them, overpriced guns and selection of well used but sparse selection of rifles,Feel bad for the Gents table complaing about economics,Last one for me ! Wife couldnt get even a diet coke, she was pissed.

Re: Promised Land Gun Show - Jaeger Arms Promotions
I went to the show too. It was an awesome day. Bought an ASM Colt Walker cap/ball new in box replica for $225 unfired w/manual, a 1927 Winchester M94 30-30 for $350 in amazing condition, and a Mossberg Model 190 bolt action 16 gauge shotgun in 98% condition w/original hang tags and manual included for $100. Bought a few boxes of ammo for $5-$10 per box, boxes of 20. And a can of unopened rifle powder for $4. On the way out another guy sold me 3 cans of unopened powder for $15 each.
At a previous Jaeger show, I bought an original Colt 1860 Army cap/ball pistol made 1863 martially stamped for $400, and (2) German made Mausers for $100/each.
I also bought 2 rolls of pre-64 silver quarters off a vendor there for less than the current melt value.
If you're not complaining about the economy today, you're living in a dream, and not in reality. We need to complain, and then some.Last edited by Captain Crossman; October 13th, 2012 at 09:46 AM.
