Opinions on a Rossi
This item caught my eye in a recent ad. http://www.rossiusa.com/images/image...4102211BF1.jpg
They were $299 at Cabelas, so I figured about 250 anywhere else.
My main thoughts for it are threading the 22 barrel for a suppressor for legal hunting. Anybody seen/have one? Good/bad?

Save your money a little longer and get a Thompson Center.

Re: Opinions on a Rossi
While some of the Rossi line are solid, serviceable firearms, I'd pass on this one. My experience with the break action that this is based on is that they are cheap and prone to parts breaking. (sights falling off, etc...)

Re: Opinions on a Rossi
My experience with Rossi (2 rifles) is they are cheap for a reason. They look good on the outside with very poor quality machine work on the inside. Both of the rifles I purchased were complete failures out of the box. Their customer service is exactly the same. Very nice on the phone, but they don't make good on their promises.
My advice is to spend a little more money for a lot more quality.
