ccw and alcohol in court
I read some great posts about ccw and alcohol but would like further clarification. What would a jury or defense attorney think or say when you have two beers and then shoot an armed robber? I get that its legal but what will it do to your credibility or justification for using deadly force? Never trust a lawyer! Thanks for any advice.

Re: ccw and alcohol in court
If it's the armed robber's or his family's lawyer, they will argue that you were drunk, lacked proper judgement and killed their family member. It's what they are paid to do.
If it's a DA, they'll argue that you should be charged with negligent homicide or manslaughter or whatever they decide to charge you with. It's what they are paid to do.
If it's your lawyer, they'll argue the opposite and charge you $400.00 or more per hour to do so, plus expenses. It's what they are paid to do.
At the end of the day you'll either be in jail or the poor-house, and the lawyers will get into their Mercedes and BMWs, drive to their McMansions and drink imported wine, sleep in feather beds, and come out and do it tomorrow.
Are we clear?

A lawyer is no different than a plumber. You may need one, but that doesn't mean you won't be given shitty work or robbed. Make sure they have an established rep, track record, watch them, understand what they are doing, and check it out for yourself.

Nice!
hate people that generalize. Don't generalize gun owners heaven for bid but it's kool to generalize every one else. All cops are cow boys who love jerking around gun owners and all lawyers are clearly just out their to turn a buck and could careless about helping you.
What was that about not letting the 10% ruin it for every one else.WHEN DEMOCRACY TURNS TO TYRANNY, THE ARMED CITIZEN STILL GETS TO VOTE
