What pistol do you have that you don't want to shoot?

What pistol do you own that for one reason or another you don't want to shoot?

I have two that are like that...One of them is this one:




Ruger MK II Slab Side Target Model....Bought it off of gunbroker last year in new/unfired condition with the original box, the lock, rings and scope base.

I know its not highly collectable, but for whatever reason I can't bring myself to shoot it..

I shoot every gun I own or I do not own it.

My DB9 is painful to shoot after 20 rounds or so, so I only shoot it enough to know it still functions.

I don't want to shoot any of my guns, they may not work after taking small arms fire.



Seriously though, the only gun I don't shoot is my first gun. It is a Jennings
j22. I just don't like firing one or two rounds and having to stop and clear a jam. I can't bring myself to get rid of it though.

This is the way I have always been, since I started shooting. Perhaps if I were rich and could afford anything, that might change. I certainly don't take all guns to the range on every trip, but I have never bought a gun, new or used, and left it in the safe.

Perhaps I should also point out that I have never owned a collection all that large, a couple handguns and less that a dozen long arms at the most. By the time my collection got that big I began to see that other areas of my life needed money thrown at it.

I have a Ruger MKII William Ruger NRA Endowment pistol still like new in the wrapper. I am sure by the time I am 80 years old, it will be worth five dollars more than I paid for it!

Believe it or not, I don't really enjoy shooting pistols at all. I'm more of a carbine/rifle guy. So my pistols barely get shot. *shrugs*
