Did some range repair
The range me and my buddy use is tucked up in the woods and is technically a private range. Well over time and alot of rounds, the back boards and main poles had taken a beating. So we took it upon ourselves to replace and repair them. Then we shot some mags.

Re: Did some range repair
Good on you for fixing it up. My range just installed cameras because they are so sick of people destroying all the damn poles.

Likely that's all there is to attach targets to.
If you hit the range, and there is nothing to attach targets to, do you just go home?
I know me, personally...I'm looking for whatever I can find to use for targets, so long as its safe. After 1 time of almost having nothing to use other than an old box, I make it a point to carry a pre-made target stand with me.
Some people simply lack sense, and I'll bet those posts being shot at was deliberate.

Re: Did some range repair
Good for you. I wish more people cared about the ranges as much as you obviously do. I never understand when so many people abuse the privilage of using a private range and knowingly destroy it. This is another reason I love the idea of having steel plates somewhere at the range. When the backers are down or all shot up, you can always shoot the steel. A case of clay pigeons is another nice cheap way to spend the day shooting. A buddy of mine works at a local bowling alley so I usually leave a few bowling pins for people to play with as well

Re: Did some range repair
Good job. There was a time that I would take some wood, screws and a screw gun with me when I went to the public range. I got tired of getting there and not being able to put targets up because the backers were in such bad shape.
Now that you need a permit to shoot there they are on their own. I will make due with what is there then call and complain about the range conditions later.troll Free. It's all in your mind.
