    Default Philly.com Poll Thursday 8/23/12

    Philly.com has a poll running through tonight, in regards to the shooting death of a PPD officer walking home after his shift (incident is mentioned in another thread here).

    It asks, "Does the shooting death of Officer Moses Walker make you want a handgun for protection"? The four choices;
    1) Yes, criminals should fear being shot anytime they draw a weapon,
    2) No, Officer Walker was a professional with a gun and still was killed,
    3) Yes, women especially wouldn't be so vulnerable if they were packing,
    4) No, more gunbs mean more deaths, including suicides and accidents.

    Nothing about 2A rights, nothing about criminals not abiding by current laws, nothing about right to self defense. I chose #1 as the most-correct answer out of the four choices.

    Here's a link to the poll, it's at the bottom left corner of the page:

    As of 18:00 today, there was a slight majority favoring #1.

    Regards - Don

    #1 is at 49.5% at 6:25. That says a lot about what people are thinking. The need for self-defense is being recognized by the citizens. Now they need to be sure their lawmakers what they want.

    I found a different poll there now: "Should high school students become ineligible for sports or other activities for bad behavior off-campus?"

    I guess they took down the one on firearms

    That's too bad...I was hoping to let all citizens of PA vote, not just those in Philly.

    With the new poll, would "bad behavior of students" include them running around with unregistered firearms and holding up the corner store?

    Probably not, they need to get ahead somehow. They're all good kids you see...

    And the poll math is wrong. If you add all of the %'s shown (50.8, 26.1, 6.8, 23.2) as of 21:06 you get 106.9%. Ha, ha, ha... they can't even get it to total 100%.

    By their numbers, 57.6% want more guns.
