Any guns in MD for a camping trip?

Hey all,

I've been looking but cant seem to find the answer. I'm going to be spending 1-3 nights camping in a state forest just south of PA. I know I can't have a handgun with me or carry it, but is there anything that does or doesn't allow keeping a long gun in the car? I would love to have access to something, but don't want to run afowl of anything illegal.

Let me know what to do! (and dont say stay out of the state :-/)

Ive read their laws and it looks like a black powder pistol can be carried with no license....but im not a lawyer and didnt stay at a holiday inn last night either

I am not a lawyer either. But I would say your best bet to stay out of jail is NO GUN in Maryland period.

so I just found out that this state park has a public use shooting range. Does that mean I could keep something in the car as long as I plan on shooting at the range?
