Wow, I really feel bad for his family and grandchild. I hope they can cope with the loss well.

This does reinforce the importance of locking doors and being prepared and well-trained for someone breaking into your house...

Perhaps the District Attorneys will start looking at Burglaries as serious crimes again like they use to a few years ago. It's a shame...sounds like a nice guy.

I don't know how it is in central and eastern Pennsylvania but around here when old folks are the victims of home invasions they generally have a junkie grandchild to point a finger at.

It's not real far from where I live. I have family in that area. I hope they finally realize that they have been wrong in saying we don't need to carry because we live in the boonies. They always gave me grief because I carry all the time. My prayers go out to his family. I hope they catch the murderer soon.
I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six!

My thoughts are with the family. It is a shame he did not have the opportunity to defend himself.

Nope, not this time, I only heard about the dead body in the dumpster this morning.

It is interesting though, high speed chase on friday, murder on saturday, attempted suicide lastnight. Mighty big coincidence in such a low crime rate area.
