I just heard about this at work this morning. It is very sad! My heart goes out to the family. I live only a few minutes away from where it happen.
I am well prepared if this person should decide to enter my home!

Somewhere in downtown Lancaster City. It sounded like a cop found the body, they said there were shoes and some other things nearby the dumpster.

Haven't seen anything in the news about it yet.

It is interesting though, high speed chase on friday, murder on saturday, attempted suicide lastnight. Mighty big coincidence in such a low crime rate area.

This was posted on a page I follow. Could be the explanation. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...type=1&theater

And the southern end had another firearm incident. I don't know what's going on down there right now.

Yeah, that must be it. That's the problem with the scanner, unless you can find an article or someone talking about it, you're never sure of the full story. All that was said was body in a dumpster, and they did say there was a pair of shoes and something else nearby, but I couldn't hear what the something else was. When I'm in the car, I don't have the bank for Fire/EMS turned on because for some reason that scanner doesn't picked up those frequencies too good, so I wouldn't have heard EMS being dispatched.

    Update: http://lancasteronline.com/article/l...p-killing.html

The charged killers of Douglas C. Herr got the $200,000 they came to his Drumore Township home to steal on August 17, court documents show.
Brothers Kyle and Cody Wunder and Stephen Harmer shot their way into Herr's house on Furniss Road, then shot a padlock off a safe that held a $200,000 settlement Herr received when his wife died in 2009, a police affidavit indicates.
During the late-night break-in, 24-year-old Kyle Wunder killed Herr with a shotgun blast to the head, police allege.

Sounds like the suicide down there wasn't involved in this.

Glad that they apparently caught the perps. If they are guilty I hope they get the death penalty.

GOOD to know that the man was able to shoot one of them to bad it wasn't a kill shot. But now he can rest in peace. And these little pieces of shit can ride the needle all the way to hell.

Strange someone would keep $200,000 in cash at home, when the money was "legal."
