I am so mad at myself for not recording right after I was told to put my hands down. I was in shock for like 2 minutes afterwards... actually it was more like I was in disgust. The only part I got recorded was the first cop coming back without my gun, and me telling him that the gun wasn't in the database. He then returns the gun, instructs me not to rack it until he's gone, and thanks me multiple times.

"Yea, someone called on ya'. have a nice day man." were his last words to me.

    D. There is no doubt, that there are members of the PPD that lurk on this forum just to see what kind of response they can get for their actions involving forum members, known to them or not.

High fives, big grins, laughing at what our responses are, i'm sure that at times we provide endless amusement for them.

    Well said, and entirely true.

    To those officers, I'd say...

Those officers should take heed. Their fellow brothers that act like this to people are going to only put bigger targets on their backs.
One day, they are going to mess with someone with much less than us to lose in life and with a much shorter fuse.

They all wear the same uniforms and drive the same cars. They are only endangering themselves.

There isn't a damn thing they should be "High fives, big grins, laughing" about/at in this thread. This incident doesn't do anything other than fuel more outrage toward them. I really don't get trying to fuck with people who KNOW their rights, seemingly intentional. Protocol? Really? They admitted to having official procedure on how to properly violate someone's civil right? It does nothing for the PPD and only adds to people's resolve to set things straight.

Mike, get in touch with Fiorino and see if he can get you in touch with whoever he used for his case against the city. Get in touch with jonnyec, he is a reporter, maybe he can help bring some public attention to this. Maybe one of the Philly Inquirer's reporter (Stephanie Farr did a few stories on Fiorino, I believe) would do a story on it, or at least she can start tracking similar cases. I don't know if you need anything to start talking to a lawyer, but I will donate whatever I can to see it through. We will see who gets the last laugh.
