Re: Boxed in by 7 of Philly's finest, guns drawn and everything
What possible recourse is there against a citizen who alleges that someone has committed a crime when no crime has been committed?
"X is what percentage of Y?" Divide the first number by the second, multiply the answer by 100. Add a percent sign. Think.

Play their game - lawyer up - via Freedom of Info Act - get a copy of the police report - including name of the person that called in the MWAG - subpoena cell phone # if needed - file a CIVIL suit against the bimbo- and for extra points---get media attention so the sheeple know their liability in the future when they do this crap.

IANAL, but my guess is a civil suite. Her illegal action (filling a false report) directly resulted in the OP's civil rights being violated by PPD. Granted, PPD should know better. However, she still called 911 with the intent that the PPD at the very least watch - if not stop and detain - the OP, didn't she?

Given what you were facing I am quite thrilled at how you were able to get digs in and take no shit without tasting the pavement.
Let us hope for the best, but let us also prepare for the worst.

Overall, I'd say this was a positive encounter for the Philadelphia Police Department.
The majority has been taken over by members that fully represent the quote in my sig

Re: Boxed in by 7 of Philly's finest, guns drawn and everything
Cops REALLY need to screen their callers a bit more. I mean..."There is a man with a gun" should be followed up with questions:
"Is he threatening anyone?" No.
"Is he brandishing it?" No.
"Is he even touching it?" No.
"Is it holstered in plain view?" Yes.
"What is the man doing?" Minding his own business.
No need for action. DUH. Why do cops cater to idiots? That woman gets to go along the rest of her day just fine. The OP almost got killed.
And yes it is true, if the OP had been shot (even accidentally), they'd have just said he threatened them...and he'd have had no witnesses to the contrary. Sigh. That's pretty scary."Stupid people are ruining America." --Herman Cain
