Re: winchester out of Business ???????
Verrrryyy old news. They closed up shop in New Haven earlier this year, no more 94s or 70s. Several companies have been discussing purchase options with Winchester, but nothing in time to save the Model 94 or Model 70 rifles. Click here to read the Washington Post article.

Where you been?
The Repeating Arms plant in CT closed around March I think. Herstal from Belgium may continue the brand name for some rifles but no more US production.
Years ago when Olin owned them I got some nice shooting perks since we used to buy brass from them.
Anybody remember Jimmy Stewart in Winchester '73?

Did you read all the posts? One of the post links led to:
"...Some Winchesters will continue to be built overseas, but three guns -- the classic lever-action rifle of western fame, the bolt-action hunting rifle (called the Model 70) and the Model 1300 pump-action shotgun -- will no longer be manufactured."

Which probably makes my Model 94 and Model 1300 "collectors items". (Well, the Model 94 already was...1926 production, .30-30 carbine, with saddle rings and Marble sight...)Guns are like shoes...a woman should have one in every caliber.
I'm armed and menopausal...Excuse me, did you have something to say?
