Default Plastic fantastic 9's and .45's for a female

    Here's the roolZ.

-Must be service grade / serviceable firearm. Nothing old.

-Must be high cap. 14-15+ in 9mm

-Must accommodate smaller hands if at all possible.
*For Ex: The Glock .45 frame is a no go. The 9 is still pushing it.

    -Nothing with a manual safety.

-No sub compacts - sight radius is important

-The trigger and reset cannot suck. Glock or better.

No 1911's. No Xd's. Kahr's are out too. She also hates Taurus. She's had one break in her hand already.

Primary purpose is range use. Increasing proficiency with a sidearm. And as a shtf backup. Something you would wear in addition to the rifle you were already carrying. So it has to be something you would be confident enough in to take into a real fight if you had to.

I'd say go with a GLOCK 34 gen 4, it fits your requirements.
Sorry your female has an issue with thickness :P

    I'll offer a few ideas...
Im a big fan of Glock so I'd say a gen 4 19/17/34.
If that's a no go, check out the M&P line or the FN FNS line - both offer replaceable backs traps to help with fit.
    Good luck in your quest!

The 19 is a contender. The grip is not optimal for her though. And I don't want her to just "deal" with it. There's a FDE one at a local fun shop that has me nuts. I wants it.

They also had a CZ P07 Duty too. With the adjustable sights and the threaded barrel. I was a fan. She didn't say much one way or the other.

G34 is too much. 19/17 is about the maximum.

The FNS didn't impress me. I have an FNP 45. It felt like junk. Trigger wasn't very nice either.

Also went through the SR9 too. She didn't like it.

G19. Not sure how the grip is not optimal but many women and kids shoot them without issue.

Grip angle or width do you mean on the G19?
