Thumbs up My experience in Harrisburg!

I was in Harrisburg from Friday 8/10/2012 to Sun night stayed at the crown royal on second st. I was a mostly open carry with shirt tucked but did pull shirt over for some occasions. The fist place I had to go was ONE bank across from the Hilton I was open carry had no problems and actually had several bank employees asking questions and all were very interested in learning.

Then I had to go to Hilton was planning on saying oc until my daughter ask for me to cover, in her defense there were enough people around (shoulder to shoulder) I would have covered anyway.

The food court in strawberry plaza was a combination oc and cc no problems either way. I had a couple looks while on the street and a few slowdowns by cops but nothing was said and everyone was extremely pleasant. Not sure if this is typical but over all a very nice place to go.

I did have a federal security guard follow me down an alley for a short distance after parking and walking past a federal building.

Awesome! Rep to you for OCing in the safest part of the City. The only murder's and robberies that usually occur in that part of town are against State Representatives! LOL

Lots of people get shot up there. I was working up there on Monday and there was a shooting a few blocks away. Glad I was CC that day.

Yea, good to hear. I may be taking a job up there and it is good to hear the reactions from those around. Kudos!

Good to know that many are so informed in Harrisburg. However do your research before spending a dime at a Hilton Hotel as the corporation donates large sums to anti-gun groups.

I remember a few years ago when about 20 of us crossed the street (OC) directly in front of a Harrisburg police car, waiting at the red light. He just watched us go by and went on his way when the light turned green.
