Default Accu Wedge Buffer For AR-15

Came across this today. Wondering if it's a legitimate product or a solution in search of a problem?

The fit between the upper and lower receivers of a AR has absolutely NOTHING to do with accuracy of the rifle. Don't waste your money.

It's not to help accuracy, at least that's not what I think it's for. I my upper and lower didn't fit perfectly and had play I would get this so it doesn't have play.

Until they split in half and fall into the FCG, rendering your AR useless. Don't buy into it.

I put one in my AR and forgot about it. I dont know how many rounds it took to come loose but it did. The wedge wound up in the lower reciever preventing the hammer from dropping. When i found it I threw it right out. Ill never buy another and wont suggest any one else do so either!

Before any one ask's, yes it was correctly installed. Maybe it was a fluke that it came out I dont know!

I figured this was the case. It was my understanding that play between the upper and lower did not effect accuracy.

It's nice to get rid of the rattle, but I'd never BUY one. Rather, I used some scrap ceiling fan vibration dampeners I had laying around and trimmed 'em with a razor blade to fit.

This is what that silly little wedge is best at.

I put one in my AR because of the knowledge I gained with the Enfield rifle and other rifles and bedding them.

    On an Enfield rifle.

    1. A loose butt stock will cause horizontal stringing.
    2. A loose fore stock will cause vertical stringing

The only true answer is from someone with loose lockup on an AR that has a scope mounted and tests the AR with and without the Accu Wedge Buffer.

And from experience I know is if a stock allows the action to flex or move it will effect accuracy and group size. And on a AR your holding the fore stock in one hand and resting the butt stock on your shoulder. And the first reaction a barrel has when fired is to start flexing downward and if the lower and upper move it can effect accuracy.

The question can only be answered by long range AR shooters and how tight their actions are, and not by guesswork you read on line

How many accuracy nuts brag about having loose stock bedding?
