    Default Hunting in 2F

I have a doe license for 2F and my previous plans fell through.
What is the closest State Game Land to the south east corner of 2F?
I can't tell what section I'm in by the Game Commission website.

Ca you go a little further north? If so you can have the entire ANF to hunt.

I'm driving from Lancaster so I want to travel the least distance.

I'll second that. This would probably be your best bet. Also, Western PA conservancy has some land in that corner of the grid I believe...might be worth looking them up.

Probably the one just outside of Brockway where the Game School used to be (54?) and then there is one just a bit further north towards Ridgway, (44?) It's only another 15 miles or so from Brockway to Ridgway.

77 is right there where 219 and 80 cross but it's on the 2G side of route 219. There are 4 WMU that meet at that intersection, it's a busy corner.

I'm originally from DuBois and hunt 2E, let me know if you have more questions.

Gamelands 54. Its up in the Polk and Snyder Township area just about 2-3 miles from our family farm. There are parking areas along Game School Rd and Bond Rd. ...probably a couple others too along SR949 and some of the other back roads.

Gameland 44 is to the north. I think it is a bit larger than GL44.

There is also the Clear Creek State Forest in the northern part of Polk Twp, on up into Heath Twp. It used to be known as the Kittanning State Forest until a few years ago. Lots of area to hunt in it and not far from GL54 and GL44.
