Country Fair Firearms Policy (Update: Gun Friendly)
For those who do not know, Country Fair is a gas station and convenience store that is popular in NW PA. They also have several locations in Ohio and New York.
I have been open carrying into several different Country Fair locations for several years with out any incidents. Recently I stopped in and a local location and during my transaction the store manager interrupted and informed me I can't have a gun inside the store. The manager let me finish my transaction and stated not to bring it back.
I believe the manager made up or doesn't know the store policy. I decided to contact the corporate headquarters to find out what the actual policy stated. I spoke with customer service and they did not have an answer for me. The person I spoke to says a firearms policy has never been discussed. The employee was very polite and we discussed a few things. They are suppose to call me with more information. I will post an update if and when I hear something back.Last edited by blitzo; August 10th, 2012 at 04:55 PM.

Re: Country Fair Firearms Policy
Why do middle management people think they have the authority to make up corporate policy?

Received a response and they do not prohibit customers from carrying firearms.

Yes. They did mention having a discussion about it with a manager at the location I had an incident. They also mentioned they will be informing all of their managers. We discussed a few other related things and I made it clear that I support businesses who allow legal carry. I thanked them for allowing customers to carry firearms and they also thanked me for supporting them.
