Butler County CC Question.
While in the middle of moving from Mercer county to Butler county my CC permit expired and I need to change my drivers licens and renew my permit. I was wondering if BC was taking care of the background check while you wait or will it take a few days?
Also, do they do a photo ID or just the paper one? I didn't see either answer on the sherif's site.
I'm feeling a bit under dressed these days. Thanks for the info in advance.

Re: Butler County CC Question.
They take your picture for the card. A couple of years ago, I didn't get mine same-day - had to wait a few days for it to come in the mail. Hopefully, they've made some improvements since then. Good luck!

Re: Butler County CC Question.
They do renewals instantly. However since they won't have your original app on file it might make a difference.
New LTCF's they check references and mail it to you in about a week. Refs can call in to speed things up.
They issue the new laminated (photo) LTCF

Re: Butler County CC Question.
Get it renewed ASAP but just so you know....
There is an allowable exception that you are still licensed for 6 months after expiration

I believe Butler County may have satellite locations and extended hours to make it easier to get a LTCF permit like other SW PA sheriff's have done.
here is the Butler County sheriff web site with application to speed the process along
