So Im waiting for my Utah non residence license to come in, probably 4 more weeks, anyways I plan on taking the class for my Florida and Virginas license, so my question is is there any need to acquire other non residence license since with all those three ill basically be covered in all the states that I can be covered in, no?

Also I will be getting my Maryland license if the judges decision stands

Because of the federal Gun-Free School Zones Act, in order to legally carry within 1000 feet of a K-12 school you have to hold a license/permit from the state containing the school. The law is somewhat obscure and generally not enforced absent other violations, but it is something you should at least be aware when considering which states to obtain permits/licenses from.

The question wasn't really regarding the gfsza it's more towards getting the most states out of your non residence license and is it really needed to acquire all these states if you can get covered in all the states you're able to get covered in with 3 ltcfs

I think he's referring to the fact that since you can't carry in NJ, it is going to be very difficult to LEGALLY get your gun out of NJ to carry in those other states.

I simply wanted to ensure you knew the setback about living in NJ.
Some on here think it is legal to drive out of NJ into another state, then walk around on a non-resident permit in that state.

I KNOW for a fact... someone will benefit from my post.

GL to ya, but as long as you live in NJ... collecting all those CCWs is a waste of time and money

But to answer your question:

You won't be covered in NJ, your home state with any of those permits, nor with NJ issue you a resident permit (unless you have naked pictures of Chris Christie)

I think your going to have a problem getting a non-resident ccp from utah, they don't issue you a ccp unless you have a permit from you're resident state..
