    Default armalite vs rra

I am considering either the Armalite M-15a2 or the RRA standard a2 as my first AR. I can get the RRA locally (Jim's Firearms in Baton Rouge) for $899, or the Armalite for the same price from budsgunshop.com. I'd appreciate any input that would help me with this decision, as I have little education on ARs.

I can't speculate on Armalite as I don't own one, but you can't go wrong with RRA, they make a great rifle, you'll be very happy with it.

+1 for RRA. I too have no experience with Armalite. I really like the RRA NM triggers though and they're relatively cheap.

Pete at Legal Transfers might be able to beat that price. He's got the best prices around for RRA and Stag.

RRA's is good stuff. I would suggest that whatever you decide on getting---get the a3 flat top and a removable carry handle---that way if you ever decide to put an optic on it you'll be set.

Both excellent rifles. RRA two stage triggers are a real bargain for the quality.

    Karys,
Thanks for the heads up on Legal Transfers. I called them this afternoon and was given a price of 770$ for the RRA, which is significantly lower than I was prepared to pay. I found a few local dealers (Baton Rouge, LA) in Legal Transfer's FFLs on file, so I'll contact each one this week and decide who to use.
