Started carrying "sporadically" in late 2007, then decided to carry daily Jan 2008. XD-9 service in SERPA holster. Sadly (in retrospect), no spare mag. This was in Delaware. No CCDW so no CC, 100% OC.

Still carry the same thing for OC since moving to PA, but added a spare mag and flashlight. Plus now that I have my LTCF, I can CC, so when I do I use a XD-9 subcompact in a Crossbreed Supertuck.

Not much of an evolution I guess.

No gradual change for me. I hold to the sporadic generation of my firearms. Glock 19 in a Remora reinforced top holster. Started Summer of of 2010 after having a day at the range for my brothers bachelor party.

I started off carrying my XD9 Service with the XD Essentials holster. I didn't trust the retention, especially while on my motorcycle, so I started looking for different options after a few years of occasional carry. I picked up a Crossbreed Supertuck for IWB and a level 2 Serpa for OWB and started carrying everyday a few months ago.

I've been carrying for about 2.5 years now ever since I moved from the socialist republic of new York. My first and now only carry gun is my Springfield XDc in .40. It's usually in a don Hume owb but on the rare occasion I really want to hide it it goes in my super tuck. I'd like to get another pistol but money is tight and the XD serves its purpose well. I think my next pistol will be some thing I can shoot more often like a 9mm or .22

Started with a Glock 19 that I bought on my 21st birthday. The only thing that has changed since then is the holster. Started with a cheap uncle mikes, upgraded to a Don Hume, and now I use a Minotaur M-tac.

Bought first pistol for IDPA and never intending to carry but then very quickly got LTCF to carry and also now rarely do IDPA.

Full size CZ85 in a Desantis scabbard.... bought and returned a number of similar off the shelf holsters, but still using the desantis.
Because I can't fit Catman in my pocket.

If you can find a Delta Elite, preferably an early production, that's the one I would go with. I like the G20 but 10mm 1911 is legendary.

I began with an Astra .45 in an Uncle Mike's holster in 1998. Terrible gun, terrible holster.

2002 I had a Walther p99 .40, no fitted holster available, so again a crappy generic.

2007 I bought the fnp .45 and FN 5.7, blade tech, and serpa respectively.

2010 I picked up the Kimber Crimson Carry II, and discovered Crossbreed holsters.

Shame that I sold them all for Walmart gift cards at a no questions asked gun buy back.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but believe me, it's on the damned list.

My first carry piece was a S&W M65 with a 3 inch barrel in 357. I carried in one of those upside down shoulder holsters or in an askins avenger I think. Then a bianchi pistol pocket. Next was a ruger security 6 with a four inch barrel in a Miami Vice shoulder holster. I hated that holster lol. Loved the gun. A plethora of 1911's until I had a customized Norinco jam on me in a sticky situation and I switched to a S&W 59, 459, 469 in that order all in pistol pockets or mexican style. Now I'm mostly glock 27 in Don hume IWB or galco ankle. Once in awhile I carry a kel-tec 32acp in blackhawk pocket holster with the 27. Considering that the first handgun I ever owned was an H&R 732 in 32 S&W(remember those?) I've come a long way.
