Looking for a range
I am new to the Philadelphia area and am looking for a range to join. I am a long time shooter of both rifles and pistols. I am looking for a good place to enjoy the sport, and start getting back into competition shooting. I am aware many ranges need you to be sponsored so I am looking for one. I have found the local public shooting areas reasonable but restrictive (3 rounds Max), but rules are rules. I am flexible as to distance but tend to prefer south and west of the city but for the right fit I would be happy to travel some.

Re: Looking for a range
google the NRA and search their site for ranges. There are a few ranges that have an internet site. Good luck.

Re: Looking for a range
I belong to Delaware County Field and Stream in Brookhaven its like 10 mins away from my house they have alot of different ranges there that why I like it but the have rules too. The biggest I hate is only 1 round in a big bore rifle at a time pisses me off but what you gonna do ya know. There is also target master but its an inside place and they have their own rules too. Well good luck

Re: Looking for a range
I looked at Field & Stream and saw the limits of one round on big bore and five rounds on rimfire rifle, but I wasn't able to find the pistol range rules. Does anyone know thier rules or capacity limits for the pistol range? Thanks!

Re: Looking for a range
Its the same as small bore % rounds in the clip no more and the last two lanes are for magnums I mean if your the only one on the range the shoot the magnum wherever but if your not the only one it just courtesy I guess.

Thanks Jay.
FWIW, I was told that (at the small bore range anyway) the backstops are heavier for the magnum lanes.Useless laws weaken the necessary laws.

Re: Looking for a range
Lower Providence Rod & Gun Club is about 30 minutes from Drexel Hill. Route 3, Blue Route, 76 (for just a bit) , then 422 West.
100 yard outdoor rifle/pistol range, indoor pistol range, archery range and 30 stand archery course.
