    Default MD Judge lifts stay

    http://www.marylandshallissue.org/share/order.stay.pdf

Judge Legg has lifted his stay. Good and Substantial is unconstitutional and unenforceable effective 14 days from today. Unless appealed and a new stay is granted, permit apps can start being submitted in 2 weeks.

Pretty exciting as my Wife works in MD and I'm forever nervous about her protection while at work.

"There must be documented evidence of recent threats, robberies, and/or assaults, supported by official police reports or notarized statements from witnesses."

Does "She can go suck a bag of d*cks" from a former resident (who was also a rent-a-cop in charge of patrolling the property as assigned by the previous property manager) count as a threat?

Either way, if this goes through it will be nice to have her armed.

anybody living along the MD border willing to jump across and grab some fingerprint cards? As non-residents we can still use hard cards while the residents must use e-scan. I don't want to have to drive down there to get printed....then drive down again for an interview if they continue to hold those.

Just quickly skimmed through the document and didn't get the gist of it the first read through. Does this mean that non-residents can apply for their permit in MD and not have to provide some off the wall reason why they want it like before? What does this mean for us here in PA as far as getting a MD permit?

This would be so nice, if it becomes reality! I'll keep checking back.

This is very good. I was a student in Maryland for several years. It's a long time coming to those folks to our south.

NJ, NY, Ill, CA, HI...they are NEX!
