Default NHRPC CARBINE & PRECISION MATCH "URBAN RIFLE"

For our August Match, we will be returning to the Urban Rifle theme.

You will have a lot of fun with this one, either on the precision side, or the carbine side.

Carbine should expect a course of fire with shots no greater than 100 yards. Precision and DMR to 600Y.

Working on the CoF. Still in flux, but it should include stages fired around vehicles, Moving targets, Pop-ups, barricade shots, steel, handling skill tests, and an urban style CQB challenge. There will be some physical activity......

    Precision - bring 60 rounds

Carbine - bring 100 rounds rifle (no M855 or AP), and 20 rounds pistol.

Standard match fee, $20 members, $30 guests. 0830 start time.

A pair of gloves is required for this match, and if you have a GMRS radio, please bring that too.

I just signed up. Had a great time the last one. Sounds like the CoF should be fun to shoot.

It's probably impossible for you to tell, but do you have an idea yet as to whether the precision CoF for this will be longer or shorter than normal?
I have a family engagement that day, and just want to judge how much of it I'll miss if I decide to sign up.

My estimate would be that precision would finish up by 2pm if I am running that side of the house.

Only one. Two different ranges, same time.

I just signed up for carbine. Any requirements (or recommendations) for mags, vests, pouches, slings etc...?

I shot the NJSP qualification course match back in Feb, how will this compare to that?

I'm not affiliated, but have shot the carbine matches.
Bring mags, preferably more than you need. Bring a sling (a sling is to a rifle as a holster is to a handgun). Vests/pouches/belt carriers for carrying your mags would be convenient, but pockets/cargo pants/a crown royal bag hung off a belt loop work too. Bring sunscreen.

That was good advice by Helter.

I would add that having a rucksack/backpack to carry your stuff and leave your hands free would be essential too. Also bring a pair of work gloves.

I'm leaning towards 'bring everything' and use what I need.
