Default Tux fitting @ Men's Warehouse

My cousin is getting married in September and I'm in the wedding party. I plan to carry (strong side hip, Cross Breed ST) and I carry IWB, so I need the holster while I get fitted. I'm not going to leave the gun in the car while being fitted.

Has anyone ever been in this boat?

    Options?

IWB carrying while wearing a cummerbund? I dunno.

I didn't think of that. I have no idea what the tux configuration is, so there may not be a cummberbund. If there is, I may need to shoulder carry, or carry OWB with the holster behind the cummberbund.

Rental tux pants have an adjustable waistband so you're good either way.

Fit shouldn't be an issue with the adjustability of tux pants. But I get the impression you're more concerned with how things go down at the fitting, right?

    You could:

    1. Not carry
    2. Take a pack or sometime to put your gun in during the fitting.
    3. Leave it on and see what happens.

If they care and ask you to leave, come back later with option 1 or 2. You could call ahead and ask them about it to save yourself a trip or the hassle.

    This.

I was planning on going with #3. I wanted to see if anyone was here before.

I will report back with the result.

Although it wasn't a Men's Warehouse, I have carried while getting fitted for my best man's tux last year. I just let the worker know up front that I carry and would like to be fitted to do so comfortably, they were a bit surprised at first but they went along with it just fine and started cracking jokes that he felt he should be fitting me in the camo tux to go with my hat I told him to wait for my wedding and we'll talk about the camo.

I'd go with #3 also. The place has been around long enough I'd be surprised if you were the first to be carrying at a fitting. Chances are decent they've fitted a cop or two in the past, other smart citizens, etc...

Due to the tight nature and fit of the waist of tux pants and cumberbunds you could consider a small of the back holster if you want to truly be concealed. You didn't mention what you'll be carrying so I'm just guessing.

Let us know what kind of reaction you get from the store.

Been down this road before. Measured for a suit while IWB, and with shoulder rig on seperate occasion. Never had a problem, just let the guy know so he wasn't caught off guard. BTW, they are the best fitting suits I own.

They may just insist that you carry a PPK though.
