Thumbs up Gun Smith in Carlisle area

I am putting a plug in for my neighbor and friend Bill Moyer

He is in business for over 50+ years... building guns and making repairs on old new & in between ones.

His vast knowledge of weapons is beyond our conception and will be missed some day.

He has a great following of returning customers that will not go anywhere else.

It would be worth your time to stop by and say, hey
I promise you will leave with lots of information that a $$ figure cannot be placed..

Tell Bill, Bob Eppley sent you, this won't get you much but his friendly personality will.

Oh buy the way....he would probably kick me if he knew i put this info out, he doesn't need the work

I agree. I took to him, my Grandfathers old 22. He advised me on the concept of redoing the whole rifle and what it would do to the value. When I got this rifle back, it looked like it came off the showroom floor. Very pleased. Getting ready to take my 94 down to him.

FYI...Bill has retired, and sold the business to his apprentice Chad McCauslin, Bill lives in the house in front of the Gun shop and built a large metal buiding in the rear, to just to tinker around in.
If you are lucky you may see him there stop and say hi, he will appreciate it.

Chad is a great gunsmith, he did most of Bill's work before he retired, AFAIK. He did some work for me, I am pleased.

This is all good to know. I'll run my 94 over to him. I do remember a quite young guy working in the background. Imagine that was him?

Ok, I ran over a 22 and a 94 today. This is a dry run to see what happens. I'm hoping it all turns out well. My buddy also took over his 22 at the same time. He has no idea who my buddy is, so I really hope he treats him well.
