    Question GP100 Rubber Grips

    Hello All,

I am looking for a set of rubber grips for my GP 100, .357. The recoil is a little stout and it affecting my accuracy a little bit. I'm thinking some good grips might possibly help? What would you all recommend? I'm not familiar with this area of firearms at all. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Micah

You also may want to consider the Hogue rubber grips. I have them for my Blackhawk and Single Six and absolutely love the way they fit my hands.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Looked on Midway for some Hogue grips. There are Hogue "tamer" grips and "monogrip" grips. They are 2 separate items. Is there a difference between them? I'm looking for the best thing to take some bight out of the hotter .357 loads.

Go with the Hogues. I usually don't love their products, but when it comes to wheel guns they just plain work.

I'd also agree with the Hogue grip. It's unfortunate Trausch doesn't make GP100 grips, as their SP101 grips are the best on the market IMO.

The "Tamer" grips are thicker and bulkier to absorb more recoil, but it comes at the cost of a fatter grip. I personally prefer narrower grips, so the "Monogrip" would be my preference. If you have big paws, the "Tamer" may work best.

Ruger is using Hogue Monogrips as standard equipment on current GP-100s.

The Monogrip has a pronounced palm bulge that feels a bit odd at first, but I find that it shoots very comfortably
