Everyone makes the door look like a bank vault door. The best destructive way in is beyond the door, especially the bottom.

I wouldn't buy a stack-on if they were hard to enter. That narrow door opening has to be a pain in the ass.

I started picking mechanical locks at 12 or 13- including removing cylinders and making my own keys (thanks Anarchist's Cook Book).
It's already been mentioned, the old angle grinder or Sawzall will knock the snot out of the side of lots of gun safes.

I might consider keeping a decoy safe to store my black powder, for those who like sparking tools for burglary...

Jesus! What a shitty web site. After the third set of pop ups covering the text I lost interest.

They're obviously good Cub Scouts. Well done, boys, you have a bright future.

Sawzall LOL For under $200 you can get a plasma cutter that plugs into the wall and cut the whole side off the safe in 20 minutes

Would I buy one of these for a legal shop? Nope.. but I bet you could get plenty of cheap safes open before it goes up in smoke.. drop the cables and toss in a deep body of water

Still haven't been convinced to bolt my three safes down...But you have to consider location.. Here in La we have "shoot the burglar" law..we are well armed and look after each other. Someone seen breaking into my house...neighbor would shoot...

Remember...an armed society is a polite society...I won't say anything about those cities and states that put you in the slammer for saying gun...

^ Your neighbor is willing to serve time and lose his rights to protect your TV?

    Great neighbor.

Early 1960s in our area an infamous burglary team broke into Pomeroy's department store and torched the safe. In doing so, they also burned the currency. The greedy idiots tried to off the money $20 on the hundred with contacts they trusted. Someone must have bit, 'cause edge-blackened money showed up now and then. Everyone involved in LE knew they did it, but were unable to put a case together.

Yes but most safes have that fire retardant plaster board.. so a Plasma cutter would get the metal cut and most likely not torch off anything inside ;-)
