Gun friendly theaters?
Is there a list theaters that are or are not CC/OC friendly. So far I have:
Friendly:
the Roxy in Lock Haven
Not friendly:
AMC
Regal

Re: Gun friendly theaters?
Love the Roxy!! Spent many an evening there in my teens when I lived in Jersey Shore. It's awfully far from Delaware County though.
I believe that it was brought up before that the Cinema Center in Williamsport was NOT Friendly, while the Great Escape at the Lycoming Mall IS Friendly
I don't believe it's open this year but I know that Crazy Bob's Harvest Moon Drive-In is VERY Friendly.Last edited by Quigar57; July 25th, 2012 at 12:48 AM. Reason: addition

Re: Gun friendly theaters?
Would it be worth starting a letter writing campaign to AMC and Regal in the hopes that they will open up their theaters to law abiding citizens wishing to protect themselves? Even, for instance, adding an exception to holders of carry licenses in their respective states.

Very rarely go to theatres. We have gone to the drive ins which I find to be lless expensive and you get to see 2 movies. Pack a cooler and some lawn chairs and your good to go.
The Dependable and the Twin Highway are both nice . We just saw Ice Age 4 and Brave. My son and his friend loved itI dislike the diamond commercials, give me something useful like guns, ammo or cookware.

The time that I was there (seeing Spider-Man on opening week-end), the Rave in Center Valley did not have any "no guns allowed" signs posted. Even though it's more than twice the drive, I'd rather go there and to AMC. I stopped going to AMC when those "no guns allowed" signs went up.

I've never actually seen Cinemark's corporate policy, but from what I understand they have a general "no guns" rule. The one if the Stroud Mall does have signs, 1 at the ticket counter and 1 where they take your ticket. It has a bunch of stuff on it, with "no firearms" being at the very bottom. Though for some reason I always forget between each visit, and I only ever see the sign on the way out...

Re: Gun friendly theaters?
Unfortunately, Crazy Bob won't be opening his drive-in again at all. His wife had some medical issues, and the movie companies are switching to all digital. That would mean he would have to put in all new digital projectors that are out of his price range. He debated just showing old movies that he had access to, but I think all his other issues made him decide to just retire instead. Too bad, as he was very gun friendly and a great guy to talk to.
They let me play with chemicals!
