I was at the checkout of a Kmart. The clerk rang up $46.64 charge. I gave her a fifty dollar bill. She gave me back $46.64.

I gave it back to her and told her that she had made a mistake in MY favor and gave her the money back. She became indignant and informed me she was educated and knew what she was doing and returned the money again. I gave her the money back again... same scenario! I departed the store with the $46.64.

This happened in Austin at MoPac Blvd and Parmer Lane.

I walked into a Mickey D's with a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a sandwich. I handed it to the girl and she looked over at a little chalkboard that said "buy one-get one free." "They're already buy-one-get-one-free", she said, "so I guess they're both free." She handed me my free sandwiches and I walked out the door.

While looking at a house, my brother asked the real estate agent which direction was north because, he explained, he didn't want the sun waking him up every morning. She asked, "Does the sun rise in the north?" When my brother explained that the sun rises in the east, and has for sometime, she shook her head and said, "Oh I don't keep up with that stuff."

I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call center. One day I got a call from an individual who asked what hours the call center was open. I told him, "The number you dialed is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week" He responded, "Is that Eastern or Pacific time?" Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh, Pacific."

My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car designed to cut through a seat belt if she gets trapped. She keeps it in the trunk.

My friends and I were on a beer run and noticed that the cases were discounted 10%. Since it was a big party, we bought 2 cases. The cashier multiplied 2 times 10% and gave us a 20% discount.

I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area, so I went to the lost luggage office and told the woman there that my bags never showed up. She smiled and told me not to worry because she was a trained professional and I was in good hands. "Now," she asked me, has your plane arrived yet?"

While working at a pizza parlor I observed a man ordering a small pizza to go He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him if he would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6. He thought about it for some time before responding. "Just cut it into 4 pieces; I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat 6 pieces."

I returned a broken pin punch to sears. took the broken one and the new one to the register. the guy rang up the order. no charge. then he put the stuff in a bag. got home to find the new punch and the broken punch.

My buddy did the same thing with his tires when I think Firestone had that big recall a few years ago. He took them in to have them replaced and they tried to charge him $5 each for disposal. He told them he would not pay that and they said "well, you'll have to take the old ones with you then". He took them home with him and a week or so later took them to another shop and got another brand new set of replacements.

My best one personally.

Was in the grocery some years ago, bought 4 packs of hot dogs (99 cents each) , along with some other stuff. The dogs had a peel off coupon for $1.00 off ANOTHER PRODUCT (chips, I think). The girl at the register peeled them off, and applied them to my bill, while telling me what a great deal this is. I told her I didn't have the chips, she says "you don't need to buy the chips, the coupon's for the hot dogs). Okay, I say, thanks. Walked outside, put the bag in my truck, went right back into the store. Picked up all (10) remaining packs of dogs, and headed for the register.

I swear I'm not making this up. I never touched my wallet. She peeled the coupons off every pack, rang them up, applied the coupons, and handed me the bag and a dime and says "have a nice day".

Laughed all the way home......

Interesting one.
Went to a drive up window speaker, placed an order. Went to the "pay" window and ordered something else. She said can you pay for the first order, okay I did, I gave her a $50.00 bill. She gave me my change which was about $44.00. She rung up the additional item, and gave me change of a $50.00....AGAIN! Which was about $48.00. I tried to explain it to her but she couldn't grasp it. She also argued with me that she has to abide by what the register said, because, if she didn't she would have to pay for it. I tried and tried to explain it to her but didn't succeed.
Apparently, she put in the register that I gave her a $50.00 for the first order, and gave her another $50.00 for the additional item.

After trying and trying, I finally shut up took my food and left.
