Handgun classes?
I'm kind of interested in taking a handgun class. Maybe something my dad and I could do together. Are there any local ones offered semi-frequently that are also affordable? It's kind of hard for me to plunk down a couple hundred bucks for a class when I could spend it on ammo...
If you've attended any locally, please provide some information and tell me whether or not you'd recommend it to others.
Thanks guys!

We offer both NRA First Steps and Basic Pistol at Pitcairn Monroeville Sportsmen's Club. Classes are usually 45-75 range. PM me if you're interested.

Re: Handgun classes?
Do you have to be a member? I'm gonna talk to my dad about this...perhaps talk him into paying for both of us to take a class or 2:-)

No, you do not need to be a member. (But you might want to join once you see the club!)

Re: Handgun classes?
Check fireinstitute.org also.
They have a one day handgun class that's very cheap.

Check with TonyF, he's a member here and part of F.I.R.E. institute.

Re: Handgun classes?
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be looking into both of these and hopefully attending one in the near future!

Re: Handgun classes?
I second the suggestions above.... either of them should be affordable and educational.
I attended TonyF's One Day Handgun Clinic, and was very pleased.
Either of the classes are priced low enough that you could attend them twice without breaking the bank.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Handgun classes?
I just took the Basic Pistol with Paul Fedorka and his crew out at Coraopolis Sportsmen's club. Had a great time.... They don't have anything posted for upcoming pistol classes -- but I know they were working on their schedule this morning.
Their website is http://www.safe-tee.net/
