Default Only need Delaware. Maine vs Arizona

    Like the title states
We(wife and I) only need Delaware. PA covers everywhere else we go.
Not counting the extra States that AZ covers which would be a better option in terms of cost and turnaround time?

Utah non-resident also gives you Delaware. That's what I did. One-day class, $85 IIRC.

Two friends of mine went through the Maine process. I don't know the details but they both said it was a large application.

+1 for Utah. $65 for 5 years, renewal fee is $15. For the cost, it's hard to beat. They do require that you have a LTCF/CCW in your state of residence, which it sounds like you already have.

For the $$, it's hard to beat.

3 hour class (no live fire requirement) , finger prints, application, copy of DL and PA LTCF, 2"x2" passport style picture, payment

    then you wait

Per Utah law, you must get a response in 60 days (IIRC, exact number of days may be wrong). If they can't get you processed quickly enough, you get your permit pending the background check - if your background check comes back dirty, your permit is revoked. Otherwise, if you hear nothing more from Utah, assume you're good to go.

Utah lowered it's price for a new applicant:

    non resident is now $51

It has been a couple of years since I got my Utah non-res but my class required that we all do a brief live fire exercise. I really cannot recall for sure if the instructor stated that it required by the state of Utah or him. I seem to think that it was a requirement of him because of legal liability. Heck I Lve to shot so what is the big deal. I fired less than 2 full magazines and demonstrated loading, mag change and clearing the handgun.

Is there an exemption if you have two or more wives?

I took my Utah class about 4 years ago, live fire for Utah is optional, my class voted yes to take it and it was documented with Utah.
