Well I was thinking to just throw a bag of stuff in the vehicle and race off...but true about the Tpke....even if only 25% of the area did it, it would still be a mess.

I actually do not....I can't imagine what a big bag it would take to pack for a family of six for "just in case"!

get a ruck sack for each of you. bottled water, food, stuff like that.

We did exactly that. It's packed and ready to go on a shelf in the garage with a few other things. The stuff can be quickly grabbed and tossed in the car.

What kind of food did you put in that won't go bad sitting in the garage for a decade?

We don't have food in that, just other things. Food is easily grabbed from our regular stores.
