Cops called for having a gun outside.

This is going to be a really stupid question, but i was in my backyard cleaning/oiling my rifle today and i have a neighbor that likes to call police on everyone for stupid things. While i was outside stripping the gun he came out and sat on his porch staring. Do I have a right to field strip and clean my firearm in my own backyard? Just in case cops show up next time.

You have every right to clean your firearm in your back yard. If for some reason the police show up and give you any problems, tell them to get the hell out.

Tell your neighbor to piss off.
Same goes for any police responding to a stupid pita neighbor.

Cleaning guns is a smelly business. I always clean mine in the backyard. ^ like he said, tell them to Piss off arseholes.But nicely to the police

You could probably get yuor neighbor for harrassment and also for calling 911 for a none emergency(sorry cant think of what that would be called at the moment.)

Yes. If all goes well, the police will soon understand that the neighbor is the problem, not the gun.

THe next time he comes outside to watch you clean your guns holler over to him and say you could really use a hand.
