new indoor shooting range at Clayton's

Was wondering if this new indoor shooting range is open at Clayton's. If so has anyone gone to this and what do you think.

It's open and state of the art. They told me that only 2 other ranges like it exist. Checked it out over the weekend. 8 lanes and you can shoot up to a .30-06 !!!

Even the Proprietor seemed to be more friendly.

So I just came from Clayton's, and I have just one thing to say - it is friggin SWEEEET!

First - they allow full auto. You can rent MP5, Steyr and Tommy gun right there. Handgun selection is... well... pretty bad at the moment (just beretta 92, GSG and XD), but Ed said they ordered shit lod of guns - at least 5 Glocks in different sizes and calibers, couple of 1911 springfields and bunch of XD/Ms, and almost full line of S&W - from J frames to M&Ps. So I guess they'll just need some time to get and process them.

Ventilation is good. So is light. 8 stalls total. A little short - it's just 20 yards, but I can live with it. In addition to the pistol calibers it is possible to shoot high power rifles there with calibers up to 30-06. The berm is 3.5 feet of shredded tire rubber on top of a steel plate.

And you can use your ammo. Though Clayton's known for reasonable ammo prices anyway. Lane prices aren't cheap, but reasonable. Rental prices are lump sums $10 per handun, $20 for rifle and $50 per full auto. They wave rental fee if you purchase a gun the same day. And Ed's (the guy who works the range) attitude is A+. Exactly opposite from the superficial attitude some gun store people and RSOs (like ones at Target World) known for.

Bottom line, I like the place very much, I'm definitely coming back and recommend it to my friends.

Sweet, thanks for the review! So if you bring your own guns, is it 10 dollars an hour, or what? Do they allow rapid fire of semi autos?
