All you need is a punch for the trigger guard and you don't need tools to change the dustcover.

Go with what lycan said. Those are 2 easy installations. You don't even need a punch for the trigger guard. You can do it with an allen wrench or small screw driver. They aren't the proper tools but they will still work just fine

Thanks guys but I'd like a gunsmith who does it for a living to do it as I don't have the time and don't want to muck it up.

Hang out in the parking lot of the Pa Gunsmithing School on Ohio River Blvd.

Probably find a guy to do it for beer money.

Those are two of the simplest jobs there are, surely they can do it.

I'm probably too far away, and would charge an hour labor anyway.

dude, man up... the ar-15 is the easiest gun to work on, all you need is a punch set for all you want to do. You can buy it for like 10 bucks or so online. If you needed help you could check on youtube for video help. No reason to worry about messing it up, because you won't.

Well then PM him and give him directions to your house and your brand.

I don't work for beer, I work for cash.
And while I help out friends everyday, a random guy on the internet is not my friend yet.
    Sorry if I offended anyone...

Aren't you the one who recommended him to ask someone to do it for beer?

He's welcome to stop by. It's a rare month when I don't do some wrenching for someone. Quite a few nice guns on this forum have made a stop at my house.....which has often been shared with people from across the state.

I've don't turn down a person in need, but I do always encourage them to try it themselves (with or without support).
