When generosity pays off for the merchants
So at BCF&G this afternoon a gent hands me his old MKII when I mentioned I was interested in something like that to be a bit more accurate than the SR22P. My first group of 10 at 30 feet was about like a tennis ball. 2nd group, 8/10 went in the 10 with the other 2 in the 9.
So that's gonna cost me about 300 dollars plus or minus.
Another fella was trying to teach his wife the basics on a large-caliber pistol. Sig in .45 ACP think. At least from the casing with which he made a hole-in-one in my shirt picket at two yards. Dropped it quick without looking 'cuz it was kinda warm.
So I turned her loose on my SR22P, and let her put about 70 rounds through it. Much better with a bit of coaching.
That's now gonna cost him about $300.00
I guess that's what we call "paying it forward." (The gun merchants would call it REALLY paying it forward... to them!)
