New Raven Concealment IWB Holster
Hey all, I've recently purchased a ^ for EDC and am trying to get the "right fit" while wearing and it just seems to be VERY noncompliant with reshaping. a.) does anyone else currently use one of these? and b.) if so, how did you break it in or how long did it take to break in? When i put this on (yes with slightly larger pants/belt) it really sticks out like a sore thumb. Just the holster itself makes it look like im packing let alone putting the gun in it. Any help would be appreciated. Please don't flame, long time reader first time threader.
thanks
**edit**: Planning on carrying my G27, so its not a HUGE gun to hide either.Last edited by zeusturtle; July 7th, 2012 at 12:10 AM.

Re: New Raven Concealment IWB Holster
I use the RCS Phantom and I don't think it will ever break in. I carry at 3 o'clock and I have accepted that I will print a little bit all summer long and that most people will never notice. I know this isn't much help.

+1
I own them and love them but use them almost exclusively for OWB. I prefer the Comp-Tac MTac with leather backing and kydex front for IWB. The leather gives a nice bend to it after breakin and becomes crazy comfortable.
My only recommendation is to make sure the holster is not right on the point of your hip (3 o'clock). Try sliding it further towards your back, 4:30 or so.

Yeah, solid kydex isn't going to move at all. Nice holster though. If you'd prefer something easier on your skin you should try a hybrid holster with a leather backing and kydex shell.

I have 2 phantoms - both with and without a TLR-1. At one point, I could carry it (sort of) comfortably - I guess that I've gotten spoiled by my Crossbreed, because I can't come up with a comfortable spot to carry it.
Play with cant, etc. - you might find something that works for you.

Re: New Raven Concealment IWB Holster
Op , i drive a Mazda sport Sedan 5 days a week the seat has lumbar support at the sides so i find it much more comfy to carry at 4.30- 5 o'clock than at 3 , so your comfort level will depend on what you drive.
When i drive my pick up truck 3 'o clock is not bad at all.

Popichak is probably trolling this for his next story...
