Buchanan Gunsmithing & Custom Firearms is located in Milford. He does all my 1911 work - his speciality in fact. He can be reached at 866-562-2520 or through his web page www.buchanangunsmithing.com

    Hope that helps.

I second this, Sean at CDI Custom Knife and Gun has worked on several of my firearms and I can't complain.

Yes there are many smiths in fact say, good smiths but these all depends on how much you want to spend for smith. Some of good smiths are:

    1. EGW

    2. Pistol Dynamics

    3. Harrison Customs

    4. SDM Fabricating

I think EGW has gotten out of gunsmithing to focus on making and selling parts. However, if you call him he'll refer you to a gunsmith he recommends.

I'll second this. Sean has done great work on one of my 1911s. He is the first guy I recommend to my friends.
