Default H&R Single shot 12 gauge short barrel

I just cut the barrel on a H&R Pardner and took a few pics. I picked this gun up specifically for shortening as I just couldnt bring myself to cutting my recent double barrel acquisition. I have no real practical use for it but with practice it could be a viable HD shottie.

I used to have a Sears & Roebuck 20 gauge. It was manufactured in the 60's, and certainly "built like a tank," as someone else appropriately put it. LOVED that shotgun... Had it since I was 8. It was a single shot with a 3 inch chamber. However, I hardly ever used 3 inch cartridges in it because 3 inch 20 gauge rounds are difficult to find. I only ever found one box, and I used it up in a day.

About 3 or four years ago, I realized that it had fallen out of use, and was really only taking up space. I felt bad, that this great gun I grew up with was just collecting dust, so I put it up on the "pay it forward" thread and gave it to a member here who wanted it for his... Son? Daughter? I can't remember at the moment, but I feel better knowing my old shotty is at least in the hands of someone who will use and enjoy it.

C'mon! Put the paper work in now, and by the time it comes back, BAM, you'll be in the mood.......

You can enjoy this nice single shot in the mean time.....
