    I would definately take a crack at that if it werent a flare gun, I dont know if my wrist would appreciate it though...

    flare guns with rifled inserts are legal single shot pistols. smoothbore inserts make an SBS. the action strength on 26.5 flare guns varies widely. the strongest is prolly the czech all steel variant, which is suitable for 44 special and similar cartridges that make about 350 foot pounds energy. turning a barrel insert to fit is a simple job on a lathe.

    Shootting one with 2 3/4 00 Buck is like shooting a hot 500 S&W. You have to be ready for it and I did not want to shoot it again. Argentina has some double barrel 20ga that are that size that shoot slugs.
