That's a great idea to bring a bucket and collect some extra brass, might help out the PGC. I went on a week day so I guess, the low lives were still in bed or possibly working. I would prefer to join a club, can anyone recommend a good one in the Tamaqua, Lansford or even Hazleton area? Safety is a prime concern, I don't want my kid to get shot or shot at. Thanks for your comments all!

I'm quite happy with my membership at Mainville thought that may be a bit further than you want to travel.

Black Creek is nearby as well, about the same distance for you. They have a nice looking setup.

I'm not sure if there are any clubs down closer to Tamaqua, maybe it's worth stopping in at Ed's and asking?
Let us hope for the best, but let us also prepare for the worst.

I know it's an old thread, but most of the more recent ones are about the Monroe county range.

I was up there today and was surprised to see the forest as far as I could see being cut and thinned out. Any idea why this is happening? I know there were attempts to put wind turbines in Packer Township, but that is farther north than this.
    ...and they have a plan...

I know that the adjacent property was almost sold to build a housing development years ago. I'm not sure why the deal fell apart but I have a feeling that it has something to do with the thriving rattlesnake population in this area. The deforestation will hurt the population and the game commission serves the will of land developers.

The rattlesnake in my profile picture was taken on the game lands behind this range.
