    Default 1911 gunsmith in Pittsburgh (and surrounding ctys)?

    Could someone recommend a gunsmith for doing some work on a 1911 in the Pittsburgh area? For now, will just need beavertail, thumb safety change. May want trigger job in future.

    I searched, but some of the threads on this subject were several years old. I wanted some more recent opinions.

    I'm not sure where New Enterprise, PA is in reference to your location but you should check out Jim Milks at Innovative Custom Guns. He was formerly the gunsmith at Evolution Gun Works and does top notch work.

    Hmmm. Altoona is a bit too far. I was hoping to have someplace I could drive to (within an hour or so) from the city itself, so I didn't have to ship it.
