Glass Bedding
I am thinking of having this done on my Ruger. Is it worth it? Any input would be appreciated. Jeff

Re: Glass Bedding
I did my tang safety M77 15 years ago, it turned out to be just what the doctor ordered.
It's not the most technical job, but, careful prep, attention to detail, and an understanding what you are doing are required for it to come out right.
Here's a lengthy discussion on glass bedding the M77: http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthr...vy#Post3003214
Good luck

Re: Glass Bedding
Yes! Glass bedding is one of the easiest, most cost-effective ways of improving a rifle's accuracy. It can be messy but like Redneck said, with careful prep and attention to detail it should work out pretty good for you. Use painter's tape and newspaper (tape for the gun, newspaper for the floor) to cover anything you don't want glass compound on. If you want to free float the barrel you can also use a couple layers of the painter's tape under the portion of the barrel you want to free float to create the necessary gap.
