    Default IL Fight For RTC

Just an update from IL. The 7th circuit court of appeals heard oral arguments on Friday in our case of Moore vs Madigan which deals specifically with RTC and the whole inside the home crap.
The arguments could not have gone better for the plaintiffs. Seriously when the state was arguing it was like listening to a 5 year old argue with Thomas Jefferson about what the 2A means. In fact a 5 year old could do much better than the state did.
It was a 3 judge panel that heard the case with 2 of the justices being Reagan appointees and 1 being a Clinton appointee. Even the Clinton judge asked the state "well then what does bear arms mean if it doesn't apply to the public? You don't just carry a gun when you're walking around inside your own home that doesn't make any sense"
Anyway the whole thing only lasted 40 minutes and as eager as they were to hear the case we're really hopeful for a quick win or quick loss from them so we can go to SCOTUS. Hopefully we lose, that way we keep control and can get to SCOTUS faster because our lobbyist in talking with the other NRA folks around the country seem confident that SCOTUS is begging to address the inside the home question.
Here is the audio of the oral arguments if you care to listen. And as always we appreciate your moral support as we fight to restore and advance RTC in the Madigan regime of ILL ANNOY.

Thanks for sharing the link. Its interesting to listen to court room stuff like that. At first, I didnt like the way it was going but towards the middle/end, the judges really started tearing up the AG (I think that was his title) and his arguments about not bearing arms outside the home or being allowed to carry a weapon in general.

How's that going to affect the folks in Morton Grove IL? Did they ever get their firearms ownership rights restored? Here in CA. it's getting almost like MG is/was.

After McDonald, I believe, Morton Grove rescinded their law from many years ago. This action saved the town from defending themselves in a litigation that would be indefendable.
