First Gun Purchase
Well, tomorrow is my 18th birthday and I had a few questions regarding a gun purchase that I am planning to make tomorrow morning. This is my first post on this board so try and take it easy on me.
Today I went down to the DMV and obtained my PA ID, however I won't be recieving my permanent ID for another 15 days, and the one that they gave me has Temporary written across it in big red letters. The papers that came with the ID state that it can be used just like a normal ID so hopefully I will have no problems with that.
Will i need another form of ID when I make the purchase? Do you think that they will accept the temporary ID? Is there anything else I should expect or do when I go to buy the gun tomorrow?
I'm really excited that I am finally an adult and I can start to exercise my 2nd Amendment rights; and I have no reason to believe that the PICS check should be any trouble seeing as there is nothing on my criminal record.
I'm just a little nervous about this whole thing and would appreciate any tips you guys can give me. I'll make sure to post tomorrow saying what happened and what my experience was like.

Re: First Gun Purchase
I will be correctly shortly if I am wrong.
But I believe you need to be 21 to buy a handgun from a dealer. You can recieve it as a gift from a parent or grandparent. Or do a transfer FTF at a sheriffs office.

Happy Birthday! My brother just got his license changed over from Florida and only had to wait a week or so for his regular license come in the mail. He only had to carry the temp a short time, so if it is a problem by next weekend you should be ok.

PlinkerMy dog "Ruger" is worried about the economy because Alpo is up to $3.00 a can. That's almost $21.00 in dog money.
