What is Walmarts policy on ammo exchanges?
While my wife was at the local WM I asked her to pick up a few boxes of 12 gauge target loads. Surpriee, surprise. I now have 2 boxes of 20 gauge and no gun to shoot them with. Im wondering if they will exchange them for what I need. Anyone know what I can expect? Thanks.

Unless you know somebody that works there, it's not gonna happen. Liability.

Once you pay for them they are yours. You can not return/exchange any ammunition after you purchase them. You may have tampered with the ammunition that could cause some serious liability issues for WM.

Its not gonna happen but on the upside you now have a good excuse to go buy a 20 gauge I mean after all you dont want to waste that money spent on the ammo right ?

How about you buy a 20 gauge for your wife and have her shoot them? Also, you could get a 20 gauge adapater for your 12 gauge but that'll be 20-30 bucks.

No exchanges on ammo is not a walmart policy, it's federal law...

Re: What is Walmarts policy on ammo exchanges?
A quick google search shows that there's a shitton of people asking the same thing, mostly people asking about Walmart's policy probably because Walmart has the sign saying it's a federal law.
I couldn't find anything within the first couple of pages of results that indicated there was such a law, but an awful lot of chatter that it's total bullshit.
I'd bet that Walmart put the sign up worded in such a way so that people wouldn't even try to return ammo for fear of violating a law.Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: What is Walmarts policy on ammo exchanges?
There is no federal or state law that prohibits ammo returns.
However, there are very few sellers that will accept an ammo return because of the risk of fraud and liability.
As far as I know, Walmart doesnt accept ammo returns.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
