looking for a jogging holster for my wife
My wife has started jogging, Which I think is great....she starts her jog at 8pm and normally returns around 9:30, which I don't think is that great. She does jog in a well lit very friendly development, so it isn't that bad, and she does carry a radio to contact me if there is an emergency. What I would love is to get her something small light and reliable for her to carry, and I've looked at the Taurus TCP, the Ruger LCP, or a P3At. does anyone have any recommendations on a good holster for jogging? something small and concealable that she won't have to worry about the pistol slipping out, or being hard to get to?
I tried to talk her into the Flashbang bra holster, but she thought it was too gimmicky and wouldn't be comfortable for jogging.

Re: looking for a jogging holster for my wife
You might look at http://www.pistolwear.com/ also. They are designed for running and have a full sweat-shield. They also look like they are designed so that they wouldn't bounce around as much as a Thunderwear might. I definitely think the TW would be better for all-around deep concealment when standing and sitting, but I'm not sure about running.
For a gun, I'd recommend a PF-9. I just picked up one for my wife. She thought the LCP and LCR were too snappy (even with 12# recoil springs in LCP). The PF9 is about the same size, price, and has better sights that the LCP, shoots cheaper 9mm ammo, and gives her an extra round. I think the handle is a bit longer on it than the LCP, so it didn't snap up nearly as much. Don't get me wrong, it's not going to be your favorite range gun, but if you're looking to carry something tiny, it might as well have decent sights and shoot 9mm (over .380).

Re: looking for a jogging holster for my wife
I have a Remora and I carry small guns (CM9, PF9, LCR) iwb in it without any problems. I wear it around the house in gym shorts and can jump up and down a couple times without it slipping, but I personally don't think it would stay in place over the course of a .5 hour run. I've put it in tight bike shorts and it stayed put, but there was less bouncing there, and the shorts provided more grip than just the drawstring of the shorts I run in.

Re: looking for a jogging holster for my wife
Thanks for the advice, I had seen the Thunderwear but it just didn't look like it would be comfortable for an extended jog. I'll show her what's here and see if anything catches her eye.

I don't know what your wife has in mind for hydration, but many hydration belts have pockets in them for snacks and energy gells that could just was well hold a LCP or PF9. It'd would also give her something to clip OC spray onto. Guns don't work as a good deterrent on dogs (unless you actually shoot them), but pepper spray has been known to stop a charging dog in its tracks.
