I dont want to offend anyone but I have heard that para doesnt make the best quality gun. Can I get some othe opinions maybe some para owners to tell me how their guns perform. Thanks

Re: Para Ordnance
I've got a GI Expert 1911, and I like it a lot. About 800-1000 rounds through it, with no failure to feeds, and while it does tend to shoot low I think that's more operator error than anything else.

Re: Para Ordnance
I have a .45 and its dead on the money and I'm not the best shooter. I love mine had it 4yrs and have put over 2000 rounds (probably over 3 but I lost count so I'm being conservative) through it no problem. Now to be honest it has developed a feeding problem just recently but after talking to people on here I believe it can be fixed quite easily with a new spring.

Re: Para Ordnance
They seem hit or miss.
I have 2 that run 100%, 1 that vexes me, and I that jammed so often I traded it in.
I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

Re: Para Ordnance
It seems the early US made ones were problematic.
I had a Canadian made P14 that ran without a hitch for over 20K rounds and USPSA matches.
But then I have seen some of the US made ones come through the shop needing a tweak.
It now seems the bugs are pretty much cleared up.
I think they are good guns for the money and am considering getting back into the .45acp for matches and am thinking about the Sterling P14 Limited.

Re: Para Ordnance
I have a TAC s and a LTC, i have been waiting for a number of years now to have a , FTF, FTE, parts breakage, whatever, the guns just wont fail, i give up, guess i'm out of luck.
Very accurate guns by the way , worthy of that "Match" stamped on their barrels.

Re: Para Ordnance
Thw worst gun I ever owned was a Para P12. Two trips back to the factory and countless spring changes could not get it to run reliably.
Ill never buy another.
